Retro Patterns
I found this pattern in a box that my grandma sent me. There are about 30 patterns in there but I picked this as my first vintage pattern project. Its from 1976! I love the look of this dress and i can't wait to make it... now just to find the perfect fabric!

MEAT
So I have started eating meat again recently... I know I am evil, but that first cheeseburger made my mouth so happy!! But as I venture into the world of meat, I realized how tough it could be. Literally tough... I can not cook meat! I have no idea how. Meat cooking is now one of my new goals to try to accomplish. I have to take it slow though because although my mouth is happy, my digestive tract is very very upset (I think its a member of peta). Join me on my ongoing meat journey!!

Weekend Wonderland
I didn't get much accomplished this weekend and with good reason! Troy and I went on my Christmas present trip to a cabin get-away!!
It was amazingly relaxing and I couldn't have hand picked a better guy to spend it with! It was the first time I have ever felt my brain take a break. I lived in the moment for 3 whole days and it was awesome. This is the view from our loft bed.
We both were saying how we had heard rumors that hot tubs were nice in the winter... but DAMN! haha it was awesome! We also discovered that wine glasses float.
We went hiking and saw so many amazing sites. It was literally a winter wonderland of frozen waterfalls, icicle covered cliffs, amazing colored rocks, and of course snow!
This is Ash Cave in Hocking Hills, OH. We hiked the top along the cliff side and then headed down to this amazing site.
Water still trickling down, slowly forming a huge ice mound at the bottom of the half frozen waterfall.
Then to explore Cedar Falls... This one was almost completely frozen. Just a small trickle of water creating a bowl in the bottom of the falls. The pool around it was also frozen so of course we had to go behind it!
This is a shot of Troy behind the falls.
It was so incredibly slippery back there!
A mini waterfall behind the huge one, gorgeous!
We had an amazing time, and although it is back to the grind now it felt good to get centered again, or maybe for the first time ever. I have been having a tough time making some big decisions in my life lately and have been pretty depressed over them. I have realized that I need to refocus on what I want out of life and what is important to me. Things don't happen overnight but they will never happen if you just sit around crying about them. :) a meganism...
